KIRK HELLANDER
A Montana native, Kirk Hellander (second from left) is a world class outfitter. Hunting has always been an essential part of his family’s livelihood while growing up. It is part of his second nature. His reputation is known for providing quality hunts and life long memories with his clients. His knowledge of the land and ethical hunting practices puts him above the rest. His care of the land and the wildlife will be passed to his generations.
Kirk was a lineman for 31 years maintaining and installing power lines. He is also a “jack of all trades'“ from traveling all over the states rodeo-ing in his younger days to ranching, Kirk does it all. He also holds the “World Champion Wild Horse Race” buckle! He has met so many people from all different walks of life along his journeys and outfitting. Some only spend one hunting season with him, some will travel days to hunt and drink whiskey with him year after year and some call him a beloved friend.
Bronc Hellander
William’s Fork Ranch Manager and Guide
Bronc is an expert guide and trusted business partner with his dad. He has been hunting since he could walk. Bronc has always enjoyed hunting and has found a way to make a living out of his passion. Bronc is a professional houndsman and knows his way around a mule with no doubt. He is a man of few words, so listen when he gives you advice!
Bryce “Habby” Whittaker
Guide
“Habby” comes from Hawaii and assists Hellander Outfitting every fall. His laugh is infectious, and he is an instant friend. Bryce is a hard worker who makes everyone feel at ease with his smile. He is an excellent elk, deer, and lion guide and is great with mules.
Beau Hellander
Guide
Beau is Kirk’s youngest son. He guides on the weekends when he is not in school. Beau is a precise hunter who gives every hunter the best experience through his knowledge and attention to detail. His guide skills make him a favorite amongst our repeat clients.
Russ Giedd
Guide (on left)
Russ, Kirk’s former line partner, holds a special place in the Hellander family. He is the hardest worker. He instills his love of hunting within his three little boys who follow him like the idol he is to them. He has been a role model to Bronc his whole life. Russ is knowledgable about the area, and works effortlessly to give the client an experience they will never forget.
Justin Watterson
Guide
Justin is an amazing asset to any hunting camp, as he is always upbeat and positive. He has many years of hunting and fishing experience under his belt. Justin makes the best homemade chicken noodle soup and jambalaya you’ve ever tasted! He’s a true professional guide and master of the mountains!
Justin Benedict
Guide
Justin has been a member of the Hellander family for eleven years. He made it official as he married Kirk’s daughter, Bailey. He has a “can-do” attitude at all times, is a great helper, and is very personable. You’ll love having Justin as a guide as he never gives up. His attention to detail sets his clients up for success! In the picture is his little helper, Carson!

Lion Hunting Guide
Hunter assists Hellander Outfitting with lion hunting. He is quite the joker and always has a smile on his face. His knowledge of lion hunting is wide, and he’s always willing to learn something new.
